Hi everyone, I just had my interview with the radio station a few minutes ago! Went really well I think, pretty funny too

When writing your press release try to be as different as possible and you will get people to notice your site. With a general site like yours it may be a little difficult but try and think of what makes your site better or different then the others and use that as a "catch" to draw people in.

You should have no problems getting press releases accepted but try not to make them too promotional.

Press releases usually get accepted with 1 or 2 days, just depends on the site.

They can help in many ways, there is no guarantee they will work but in my case they did. My site got spread around forums, blogs and sites like fark and stumble upon and I also had an interview with a radio station.

Having a catchy domain name of course isnt essential for a viral type of sitel like mine, however if you can use one, you might as well go with it, as it's a walking bill board all over the net.

If anyone's interested, Im up to about 12,000 uniques, my radio station interview goes out today to 26,000 people and I just have had another request for a interview in New Mexico.

The coverage has been amazing I have to say, really exciting.
