Hello, My site was showing up in Google USA results a while ago, and recently stopped showing up in USA results, but only in Canadian results. The site was hosted in a Canadian server, but had a .com extension. It is targeted at the US market. The only reason I hosted it in Canada is because I live here and know the hosting company very well. Since then, I have switched the site to a US server. I have also configured Google WEbmaster tools to assign the site to the US market. I did this a few days ago. The site is still showing uip Google Canadian listings, but not in USA. Does anyone here have any other recommendations, or advice as to how long I will need to wait to see it in Google USA results? Anything else I can do? Thanks, R
Hey R, I'm seeing the same problems with some of my newer websites. They are in the top 10 for a few keywords on other servers but no the USA ones. This has been going on for 3-4 weeks now. I'm pretty sure google is altering the algo and hopefully it comes back to normal. BTW, there's a good thread about the issue here, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=674265
Maybe most of your backlinks came from site that is hosted in canada that's why you get more score from google canada.
