I have a hosting plan with them, and thought I might be able to use the same plan to host a second site. I purchased a domain name from them, and then after talking with tech support I found I needed to sign up a second hosting plan to keep the sites completely separate. I've done so, and had them transfer the domain over to the account. I tried their weebly drag & drop editor tool to get something up temporarily, but when I published it nothing showed up except the home page, which loaded a blank white page. So I deleted the weebly files from my file manager, then designed a quick alternative in photoshop, sliced and coded it. Then uploaded it via smartFTP to the site. Everything uploaded fine, but nothing shows up except my home page, which just shows a blank page again. I opened firebug to see what the code said, and it only says <html></html> However, if the file manager if I click the edit option on my home page, it shows all the code as it should. None of my images show either, everything takes me to a page that says "page cannot be display". I've talked to their tech support about it, and they gave me a broad answer and basically said maybe it just isn't loaded yet, and can take up to 24-48 hours. It's past 24 hours now, and still the same issue. I don't think the answer they gave me is relevant and want to save by hopefully finding an answer here. Any thoughts on what the issue might be? Sorry for the double post, I have a lot of new information, and a new question which I hope someone can help with this. Everytime I update any file on my site, or add a file, it does not show up on my domain name. It does show up in my filemanager of the control panel, and it does show up correctly at mydedicatedsubdomain.fatcow.com/whateverthefile though. Does anyone know what this issue may be?
I ended up getting it figured out with their customer support. mydomain.fatcow.com was updating everytime I changed something, but mydomain.com wasn't. It had to do with redirects or something they said
Not something that should take 24hrs to fix, but I'm glad to hear you've found the solution to the problem! I'm confused why they said it would take 24-48hrs, domain propagation perhaps? Either way it sounds like propagation time was not the issue here.
