My site is top 10 in Yahoo, but little traffic

Good job on your rankings, but now you have to go get the traffic. By article writing,joining forums, I don't know your niche but you can join yahoo answers, link up with others with the same niche, trade articles with others in the same niche or find a newsletter that's about your niche and join it and then write the owner of the newsletter and ask if you could write an article for the up coming newsletter and if you could add your website link. well I hope I was some help. Yahoo & MSN hardly send any traffic.

The social bookmarks are very good, there you can make friends have reviews and make reviews to other sites..and so you are being know very well..the traffic will rise very quickly!!!!!!!

 

Yahoo measured each page only by the no of inbound links , i thinks .Many sites have good ranking positions on other Search Engines but except Yahoo.com . Yahoo takes the importance of no of links not on the no of quality links as Google does. It has been practically checked by me and some of my friends .So if you want to get top on Yahoo you should increase the no of links of your site rather they are quality links or not!

 

It dont matter what keyword you use whether you use a tool and it says it has had X amount of searches,

I have a website under the keyword paypal and i only see 600 hits per day.

So how it all works is beyond me, so i dont even bother about search engines and keywords to much.

 

You have to make sure the keywords you are ranked for get searched quite a bit. if you are ranked number 1 in a term that gets searched only 2 times a day, that won't do you much good. The other thing to keep in mind is that google hosts 55% of all web searches and yahoo is around 12%.

So about 4 times that amount of searches take place in google than yahoo.

 

but sometimes, the mood of keyword or keywords is often be changed, in this month you know about the keyword, but who knows for the the next month?

 

9 million searches a month? I'd take a stab in the dark at 'ebay'.

The answer is with in your question. You can not expect a huge traffic since you are in top 10 for a particular key word in yahoo. Because less people use the yahoo for searching (which is dominated by google) and hence little traffic. Try to find your way higher in google which is very important and will bring you a lot of traffic (along with money )
