What kinda of ridiculousness is this. 75k monthly searches for the keyword, its a micro niche but still... 5 clicks for a #1 rank ?
Are you sure you are first? Google personalize the results and it is possible you are first only on your computer. Try to logout from Google account, clear browsing history(cache, cookies) and use proxy to get more accurate results. Or simply use one of the rank checkers.
Because its really not #1... Its because thats the way you have your Google settings, set. You need to change your Web History and Disable customizations based on search activity. You are probably signed into some type of Google account too. Do the above and you will probably fall off the face of Google.
I wouldnt give you my niche or url. The keyword (3 diff sites)has to do with GPS services, bathroom supplies and templates for industrial machines.
It is #1, i've had about 4 people in different countries look. I have checked google from different countries and computers. And i am #1.
The number MIGHT sound high, bit consider: Let's say 2000 people search daily. How many of those people will actually go on your site? How many of your site visitors will check out your offers? How many of those will actually buy? You will see that 2500 or so searches/day comes down to very few sales. I have several such micro niche sites myself, but see the average conversion rates and then it makes sense to shoot for niches with WAY higher search volume. Some micro niches (2000-3000 searches a day) simply cannot yield more than, say, 1-2 sales a day.
bathroom supply local 24k,bath faucets local 110k,cifial 100k all should add up to more than 5 views a day from google
no adsense. none at all. its sells high end bathroom fittings, 1 sale nets such a good amount that no need for adsense.
Please check this out first 1. Do your website really got ranked in all Google.com? The same Google.com in different country can gives different results, especially for US results. You can check via http://www.aol.com to see if your website really ranked 2. Where did you get those numbers? Is it a real one or a broad match from Google Keywords Tool?
Join google.com/webmasters. You should be able to see how many impressions your website shows on google search, what are the keywords and how many people click.
May be your keyword research is wrong. what is the search volume per month ? Also cross check the impressions and clicks in Google Webmaster Tools.
I had a similar experience and found out that although it's showing on the 1st page of the keyword I was targeting, it wasn't actually ON the 1st page, because I had clicked on it and therefore google shows it high from my end. I really hate the way google does this though. I wish it shows consistently where your site rank nowhere matter you are.
