If you're using mod-rewrite, you need to tell google the true pages it should index, probably using a rel="canonical" tag. (plenty of info on the web to help u with that)

Just submit the site to Google's index using their submission tool, don't send it to third party 'ping' or 'index' sites. Submit to Yahoo and Bing as well.

Submit your site to the Open Directory project at www.dmoz.org.

Your site could be in the "sandbox", so go through and ensure there aren't any elements that will penalize you and get you de-indexed or flagged or blacklisted.

Use the Google Webmaster tools - check the Crawling stats and ensure you have no broken links.

Hope those ideas might help. Sometimes, though, it just takes time.

It also never hurts to check that your competitors aren't targeting you with black hat SEO and causing trouble for your site. Do a backlink check to see if you have backlinks on 'bad neighborhood sites".

Now my site is shown in Google search results. In .htaccess file, I have added code to display www always in URL. Also I have set preferred domain in Google Webmaster tools. But, still my site home page shown in Google search result without www. But contact page shows www. Please help me to show my site with www in search results.

Just try to get a backlink to your website from a high PR page. You surely will get good results.

You can get your site indexed by submitting to the likes of Reddit and Digg, since the search engines regularly crawl and index social bookmarking sites such as these, having your site on them will increase the possibility of your site being indexed
