My site is listed in DMOZ - I didn't even submit it

    I have a two month old site, http://www.dogsymptoms.org, which has been somehow listed in DMOZ. I only found this out when I tried to submit it and it said "Site already exists in Directory". The listing is exactly what I would have said about the site - was it a particularly helpful visitor, or what?

    Also, what significance does a DMOZ listing carry? If it was that easy for me to be submitted, surely it can't be particularly hard to get in? The category page is PR3, but there are many other sites on there.

    :confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Many editors find sites on their own, rather than looking at submitted site suggestions. All sites are fair game, whether someone suggests them or not. Your site was obviously found to be beneficial to the category, so it was listed, :).

    Lucky you ! Dmoz listing is considered good for traffic purpose by many webmasters. Although on a personal level, I don't believe many people visit Dmoz in search of sites.
