I think this might be peculiar as my landing page http://www.300c.net.au was last indexed/cached on 7th October but doesn't come up in searchs at all. It is a PR2 site and dropped off about a week ago. I used to think if there was a cached copy then it should appear in searches provide you could see the keywords on it but now I don't know anymore. I hope someone can explain what has happened.
if you try to search 300c.net.au directly in Google. The first result is your site. So what is the problem?
That just brings up the website the same as if you type in the url at the top. My issue is that it doesn't come up in any searches for keywords. Ie type in Glamour Ride 300c Wedding Cars Melbourne and it should come up in number one spot but it doesn't. You'll find plenty of others, not just the key domain www.300c.net.au
Michaeir, that's a totally different thing which are asking. Their are tons of site competing with your site for every keypharse and if google don't think you are in top 1000 results, they won't show you. Just because you are indexed doesn't mean you will start ranking and just because you are ranking for "left handers puppet games for middle age man", you will start gettign traffic
But I should be and was number 1 position for "Glamour Ride 300c Wedding Cars Melbourne" which no one else would be using. It should be number 1 and has disappeared of google searches. You can even see my other pages on the first page.
I have checked its serp and your site is on Top 11. As I can see, there are also some other sites that are using that particular keyphrase.
i think your site inner page must have crawled.. just check it out which one has really been crawled..
But is it 300c.net.au that comes up or one of the other pages on it ie 300c.net.au/stretch_limousine.html?
caching and SERP are both are different thing, your site show in SERP via any targeted keywords when you do link building for it and submit your site in bookmarking sites
1. yes google has indexed you but that does mean that you should be on 1st page for "Glamour Ride 300c Wedding Cars Melbourne" 2. the site is still New and it should take sometime before it starts appearing in SERPs (search engine results pages) 3. the site has a SERIOUS fault with internal linking (menu is images while it could actually be text links) which is not really helping google categorize your pages properly 4. start building links to it TIP: make your signature links "text links" instead of just "URL links"
Thanks for having a look. 1) it has held number one postion for ages and should still be there. 2) same as number 1 3) I'll check that out but most of the pages are indexed except the new ones I did 3 days ago. 4) It has more links to it than the top two sites I compete against. regards Michael
You obviously do not understand Google very well if you think you are entitled to hold onto that spot just because you had it before.
Thanks for your thoughts on this matter and yes I probably don't have a great understanding of google and hence my reason coming here hoping a member can give me a definitive reason for this situation. Its not that I think I am entitle to it, its that webpage www.300c.net.au is indexed and has a pr2 but cannot be seen in any searches 'fullstop'. The subpages can be found but not the main page. Could you please explain why?
Try to get backlink with anchor text using keywords. Than your website will come into serps with those keywords.
I have been having the same problem just with my own personal site. It will not show up in google search results even when i type in the exact domain name. It's been up over a week now but a friend of mine started one around the same time and his is already up there. I know from my statistics that it's been crawled by the bot and even google sitemaps. It is getting really annoying, I'm building links slowly just on forums i've posted on forever but I'm beginning to think maybe its with google's spellchecker because it does come up with "do you mean att.com" confusing my url with at&t.
