you have to check how many searches for this keywords daily, monthly. general if we want to buy lcd then mostly people write buy lcd (area/city/county name). and also use this keywords like buy cheap lcd, latest lcd technology and many more.

It might have 2900 montly searches, but page 2 is hardly any traffic, vast majority of click through traffic is from first page. Even if you get to #10, it's only 3% of total traffic, if you #11, it's 0.66%. #21 is like 0.2% or something. So keep working your way forward!

You need to mentioned the brand name of LCD with your keyword, because there are lot of companies provide LCD and nobody search like Buy LCD on Google. Every one should specify the brand name with it like "Buy Sony LCD"

    IMO

From Google Keywords Tool (exact match - US Country - English):

buy lcd >>>> 2900 monthly visitors
    buy sony lcd >>>> 36
    buy samsung lcd >>>> 73
    buy cheap lcd >>>> 28
    buy lcd online >>>> 91

I think that "buy" is definitely not a so popular keyword. Perhaps people don't search anymore terms as "buy", "free"...

2900 in not a competitive keyword. If you aren't in the top ten, you aren't going to get much traffic. Even a #10 ranking would only bring about 2 or 3 visitors a day.

    Hi Mjewel!
Yes, I also think so. Can you check there in USA if my website is on page 7 of Google SERP for "best lcd tv" as seems to me here in Italy? This keyphrase has 14800 monthly visitors. Thanks :)

There are two issues that should answer this question for you.

First, only about 30% of searchers will go to page two of the search results. So 70% of searchers will not see your listing.

Second. Let's look at how your site appears in the Google Listings:

If someone types in "buy lcd" into Google, then I imagine it is safe to assume that they are ready to "buy now".

But take a look at what they see when they see your listing in Google. They see a "LCD Review" site. Well, I imagine it is safe to assume that they are not at this point looking for reviews or an analysis of the technology, but instead, they are looking for a site that clearly says it sells LCD's and offers prices for that product.

p.s. I was selling Plasma TVs in a retail store, when those TVs were still priced in the $7,000 range. The highest priced TV I have sold in my career closed with a purchase price of $9,950. If someone is going to buy a television for $10,000, they want to get information about that TV from an expert who has one to sell. They aren't going to go to a Review website to make that purchase.
