    1. Scan your computer for virus (Avg, spyware terminator, etc.)
    2. Change all your passwords (hosting account, ftp, etc.)
    3. Change your e-mail account password if it's the same as any of the passwords above.
    4. Contact your website host.
    5. Upload a temporary index.html so you don't lose your google ranking.

You need to change your webhost immediately.. Use different strong passwords for everything.

Well that's only good advice if the security breach is because of the webhost itself.

If he got a virus on his PC with some type of keylogger that the hacker used to access his account, or if the virus is just infecting his website directly each time he logs into it, or if he loaded a script, plugin, mod, theme or whatever that has a vulnerability to injection, then changing the webhost won't matter. He'll just set everything up on the new host and then the same thing will happen again.

Telling someone to just change their webhost every time they get some malware on their site is a pretty useless bit of advice. He needs to first scan and clean the pc he uses to log in with, and then go change his passwords on his webhost. Then as someone else suggested put up a static index.html page while he looks through his files to determine the exact problem. Fixing the problem could be as simple as removing some injected code and removing a bad script, or as serious as deleting everything and rebuilding the website from scratch.

Unless he can determine that the breach was due to a misconfiguration of the webhost server then changing that is the least likely solution.

What was the message? Did you get a "malware" report?

    Format your site folder.
    Verify your site by Google.
ask them to review again saying that your site does not contain malware and some other person did this.
They will get back to you shortly.

You got a message from Google?

Did you bother to check your site after you got the message?

Google mostly send reports about your site when its crawler encounters some malware or other bad script!

    SSC,

My site is working fine..... but there are few pages which are edited and showing in google when i type "site:xxxx.com".. It shows many pages which not at all uploaded by me. Yesterday I asked my hosting provider to look into that and they have removed those pages.

Now when I try to open those pages, it shows 404 error. I have written back to them asking what was the reason for that but I'm yet to get their reply.

Thankyou all thanks alot for the suggestions.

I advise you call adsense asap or email them and provide proof of ownership of the account and tell them the story.

What problem with your site has to do with Google?

Contact your webmaster or web developer and your host company because
Google won't help you to solve your problem and fix your site for you

Use a webhost with strong server hardening and dddos protection. Do not move any of your core php files to the new webhost instead redownload vbulletin, wordpress we cms it is. Jus keep your database, that u had piror to the hacking. hopefully you have one that is a week older. at the new server reupload all your php files and restore your database.

Fenris Lloyd got pretty much on the point.
First make sure your computer is not compromised, also check computers that have been connected with your main computer IN ANY WAY.
Trojans/keyloggers can spread through LAN, USB, Messengers.
Visit hackforums.net whitehat section to seek some help to clean your computer.

I don't understand all of these suggestions for DDOS protected web hosting. While the OP may have been hacked, it doesn't mean that his site was unavailable due to a DDOS attack.

OP--are you running any sort of content management system or scripts on your site? If you are, you want to check that they are up to date. Also have your host to restore the latest working backup of your site. Ensure that it has the latest security updates before you publish it.
