Say I have a 16 page website. 10 Main pages and 6 article pages. How does one add content and not skip a beat? I have not added content in 6 months and I am finally doing good. So I dont want to rock the boat. MEANGING – I was thinking of.......simply adding a page, then put a link off the home page. The tradtional way of adding of a secondary page. OR.....Should I add a link to my new content page....from an exsisting Secondary page. Do out going links on homepages REALLY matter All that much? Any suggestions? I am just being overly cautious. Right?
Yes, you are over cautious... Content is the king and the more you have it the better! If you're afraid that too much PR would flow into your new article, you can always nofollow it. Or better yet, link to it from an existing category to which this article belongs.
That depends on how many pages you have. If you have less pages, then link them from the homepage...or if the pages are big, arrange them in categories and add the categories link on the homepage. And you can add as many content as you can.
you need to be adding content to start boosting your site ranking further. Providing you have more links coming into your site that going out there isn't a problem with PR and anyway you can always make those links no follow, meaning that google won't add any wieght to them and your landing page won't lose out.
Whatever it is, you should always focus on building your internal site link structure to ensure that it is linked to all possible pages not only on/from the homepage itself.
Add more and more content in your site, the more content you add, the more traffic you will get from google. And out bound links from homepage or any other page does not help in any way. You need to get backlinks to improve SERPs
