My site has suddenly disappeared from Google search results!

    Hi,

My site used to be in high rank for certain keywords, terms and phrases. However, for the past week or so, it has almost top appearing in Google Search Results. Upon asking friends, they say, it is normal. Is it?

What could the factors that decided if a site should totally disappear from Google Search Results for days and even weeks?

What should I be looking around now - solutions, reasons?

    Brajeshwar,

A few things to look at:

    1) First search google with site: command to see if at all your site is banned. If you get even 1 results, its not banned or deindexed.

    2) Check if you have a penalty, go here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitestatus

You should get all your answers. Also check Google webmaster tool, if your robot.txt has any issues or blocking specific sections from your site/blog.

    3) Ask yourself, if you recently put any affiliate links without nofollow.

I did a quick check on google for your site and got this:

Seems all fine. It just that you are getting some low traffic, SERPs might have changed.

Reps appreciated! If you need more help, PM me.

I also disappeared from top results in high ranking field. I was sandboxed.

You will be sandboxed if you:
    1. have a new site and are looking for competitive
    2. have just started a linking campaign with a large number of links at once.
    3. have just rewritten your site in a major way.

    Do any of these apply?

I have had various sites disappear for all of these reasons.

Do affiliate sites with no nofollow really attract a penalty?

Surely they would only penalise the affiliate (not give full PR juice)

I agree with what godmode said.

I also think that you might need new friends.

    Hi,

Thanks everybody for the support. It looks like just a casual swing from Google. Let me hope it comes back naturally after sometime.

Should affiliate links be with or without nofollow?

They should be with nofollow, so googlebot wont follow them

They might have caught you selling links and decreased the authority of your site over all.

Try and reduce the number of outbound links or you might lose the PR as well.

Not all pages are deindexed. only 5-10 pages.

Are you using duplicate content (perhaps articles from someplace like GoArticles.com)?
