My site has got page rank 2 - no links to it and no seo

    Hello

    This is just crazy. I am doing high end seo for my site. And if you look under solutions - it says KillyPrint which is our printing sister company - that is it. No other links that I can think of, except for a few blog comments link to that site.

    The site in question here is killyprint.com. I have only just started it up really. No SEO work done at all - and it has PR2??

    Has Google gone crazy?

    Well..it's not weird...there are tons of sites with good pagerank and without backlinks.. and PR2 is not great though ;)

    Can anyone tell me if its outbound links that are favourite now or what? Or what is it - really funny this *sarcasm* I spend hundreds on other projects and they are barely touching PR2!!

    You have 2 links according to www.backlinkwatch.com. Internal links as well as outbound links are just a small factor in calculating PR. There are many other factors involved in this.

    You do not have to build backlinks by only buying them.. maybe people might have liked your content and linked to it and hence the PR 2 ... its not unusual ... I have got many sites where there are organic backlinks coming along with organic traffic... if the quality of your website is good you can expect organic backlinks and that might have increased the PR ;)

    I have seen many sites with no backlinks or less number of backlinks (as reported more often here in dp) rank high in PR and it is high time google comes out to explain the algo behind determining the PR...

    'few blog comments' - if they've got a decent PR, they can be enough to give PR2 - it's a low PageRank - more surprising is spending hundreds and not getting PR2.

    You have 2 baclinks one pr2 and 1 pr1. Looks like they are quality links that are passing on a lot of PR hence your PR2.
