my site has been indexed for months but.

Google is still not recognizing any links to my site. I know that it takes google a little while to come around with crediting your site for links but I'm not seeing any for my new site.

Does this mean I'm still in the sandbox? am I going to get a PR of 0 on this next update because of this?

Your not alone here! but i dont think its anything to worry about. I just think google is making huge changes and shut up shop; so to speak.

yeah it just kinda sucks cause I know of a few pretty big blogs that have posted reviews on the site and I have personally posted in many forums and have been granted submissions to a bunch of directories.

I don't think sandbox and showing of backlinks has any relation. or is it?

You mean when you used the link command you couldn't find any results?

Wait for the update. Everybody is waiting for it. But remember that google have a bad habit of not showing all of the links pointing to your site. So, say in reality you have 100 links to your site, google may chose to display 10 links or just 1, BUT never all 100 links.

Google does not show all the backlinks. In addition, they only update the index once every few months..

Use Yahoo to check backlinks :)

Yes this is good advise as msn is very consistent in showing true total backlinks.

The google index gets updated continuously. It's the toolbar PR that does not get updated very frequently. Google is just generally speaking not good at informing webmasters of all kinds of things. (though they just informed me very well of a broken link - through adsense - other story though).

You may be in the sandbox, because your site is new. That should not stop you from building relevant links to your site though. Not too quickly, but still.
