Hey, I am selling a website and an interested buyer just asked me this: "I've had my partner check out your website and stats etc and we found something weird Your website only has 1.8% bounce rate which is impossible to have. Most good websites have ~40% bounce rate, maaaaybe 30, but 1.82 seems impossible. Could you explain this number please?" I did..I showed him 3 months of analytics. The first month it had a bounce rate of 18% and the then it came down to 1.65% and this month 1.18%.
ya it sounds a bit too good to be true especially when the average time on your site is just 1:49 mins . this probably has something to do with how your site is coded I think.
Just tell him to check on the website, your post is using "read more" setting, the visitor only see partial of article when they enter the page, they need to go deeper to read the full post. The kind of setting lower down the bounce rate
Well getting a bounce rate like that is awesome, sales would only be possible if people are arriving at your website with keywords that lead in to conversions.....
30-40 % bounce rate is acceptable but below 10% is more than Best . so i think there must be some wrong in the site. avoid it. thanks
I wish I knew what is wrong with the site but I do not know what. Its making money off adsense around $350 monthly and has over 19,000 unique visitors monthly and over 60,000 views as you can see in the analytics..
