my site got hacked? vbulleitn forum

ok i had a vbulletin forum that was all about paintball, over 450 members, tonss of posts and everything. it was working this morning, than all a sudden it went forbidden then a different page!

can anyone fix this? please i need help!

don't worry , if they weren't deleted files , just replace your index.php . Lamers on work again

 

I'm not sure but to me it looks like all the files are deleted and maybe the database was cleaned as well. If you could check the MySql database. If it is still there, let me know i might be able to help you.

Thats not the case. The files were deleted or atleast moved/renamed. showthread.php, newreply.php, etc don't work

 

someone said if have to contact the host.. my cpanel password is changed as well..

 

its really bad . If you cant restore your password contact your hosting provieder and tell this.

 

All you can do is to contact your host and hope that they have a backup.

what about database ? Is it still working or deleted ?

I have files and database from the OLD backup when you hired me (NEVER PAID)... i can reinstall them...

Which version of vBulletin were you running? Hate to state the obvious, but make sure you download the latest patch level before re-installing.

This is one heck of a coincidence.

You have worked for him in the past.
His site got hacked.
You show up with old files willing to work if you get your money that is owed to you.

like i said mate, i did the backup when I after importing the forums from SMF. I did the import on my hosting server, and later import the sql on his server.

Plus he contacted me 1st, about it...

anyway, i am out of this thread.

PS:- @YourSiteKindaBlows, i have provide many people free service to their forums and sites... The difference was they asked to have it done for free if anyone wanted to. I am doing fairly ok by selling my services to people who need them for a fair charge. You will not find any single person got mistreated by me. I have been burnt by many people, as I trust them that they will be fair and honest to me as i was to them once the work is completed. I hope you understand.

 

I understand, I've been scammed by a few people myself whom I did work for.
