My website http://www.cruise-assistant.com got denied by google adsense. As you can see there are many pages full of content and articles. There are PICTURES of google adsense in my layout as of now because I needed to have examples in there to see what would fit where and how when I was designing my website. When I get accepted by google, I will place adsense with matching backgrounds and no borders. These are not my real adsense ads, they were just images that I grabbed off the google adsense website ( https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/AdFormats.html )to use as an example while I was designing my website. I would like to know what the reasoning was behind my site being denied by google adsense as I have seen much worse websites with no content but with google adsense on them. Thankyou in advance =) P.S. - I have been denied twice and I have found that they only send google adsense acceptance/denied emails on sunday evenings at exactly 5pm for the past 2 weeks.
I think google is getting tougher with sites that are more made for adsense than anything else. Try getting a blog going and submit that. See if you can get approved that way.
i know the images are just placeholders, but are you allowed to have 2 ad block + 3 link units on one page?
I didn't look at his site, but no, you are not allowed that. Possibly they thought that this person didn't bother to read the TOS/Policies when he applied. Edited: You know, that has to be some sort of record...breaking TOS/Policies before being accepted lol
i agree with Adpubster, that may have played a role in google denying you. take a look at the tos again, adjust the ads, then apply again, i think you will be more likely to be accepted.
Which of the advertisements do you recommend that I remove from the layout? I have read a lot of the adsense ebooks and everything but I am not an expert. Thankyou very much! Kevin
You should only add adsense on your site after you're approved. It puts you in a bad light adding dummy ads beforehand. It's like you're saying "Come on, AdSense, I made a site and I want the money". Remember, Google wants sites to be user friendly first, not ad-friendly. Good luck! PS And forget the ebooks, most are crap. Stick around, you'll learn much more useful stuff.
Other reason could be that they could tell few (if any) of the articles are original...that in addition to the other things mentioned made it a slam-dunk for not being accepted.
I will remove all of the fake advertisements for the next time that I apply to adsense. Either way, when I eventually get approved, how should I change my ad layout since it is against the TOS?
a. Remove those images ads b. Apply with another site, if they denied you couple of times, I think it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that they won’t even look at your site before denying it again, I know I wouldn’t. c. Write some original content, like some one else has pointed out, the articles you have are from ezinearticles which are used by a heck lot of people. Now why would people want to come to your site or for that matter an advertiser would want to show ads on your site?
Just create you own original site with your own writing. I started with a 'niche' sport. It's only 3 pages website, and I got accepted easily. Later, once accepted, I deleted that website and created another one. How easy. : )
