My Site Dropped from #1 to #6

  1. #1
My site www.bloggerplugins.org dropped from #1 to #6 for the keyword blogger widgets

This change took place all of a sudden. I didn't make any changes to the site recently.. and i have plenty of backlinks with the anchor text blogger widgets

I have been permanently on # 1 for 4-5 months and i thought the site links would appear soon..(they have found 8 sitelinks in my webmaster tools)

Do anyone know why this happened..?

To Mods:I hope this is the best section for this thread..If i am not right please do move it..

checkout your backlink sites may be they have been dropped or other competitors sites have done extra efforts.Do analysis of other competitors baclinks also and see what the new things they have done. Then start promoting your site with proper analysis and you defiantly achieve top position again.

Yeah but how about the quality and relevance of your backlinks? Quantity gets trumped by quality in this case.

Have you bought any links? Have you posted in a forum like this asking or looking for links? Google is known to anonymously frequent this and other known link sales hangouts. Also your competition may have found a issue with your website that they reported to Google in a spam report or paid links report. These won't necessarily always end up in a penalty but could reduce your trust value and reduce your rankings. This is what it sounds like happened in this case.

no never.. i haven't bought any links.. and not even tried to link exchange..i automatically get enough links to my site.. i had a similar experience with the keyword blogger plugins(that too had dropped earlier.) but it again came back to #1 after some days..

It could have something to do with requesting the information from different data centers... Not all data centers hold the same SERP results.
