I have been working on getting my ranking up for a keyword phrase with over 21,000,000 search results. For the past few months, my ranking has been floating between 12 -16 for this keyword phrase. A few days ago I received an email from godaddy saying my credit card was declined on my domain renewal. I checked my site and it showed the default godaddy park page with the message saying this domain name has expired and is pending renewal or deletion. I logged into godaddy and it turns out they had the wrong expiration date and address for my credit card. I dont know how because I have domains renewing every month and no problems til now. Well i fixed the issue, renewed my domain, and it was back online within a couple hours. I checked my ranking for my main keyword phrase and still at number 12. This was about 3 or 4 days ago. The next day I checked my rankings again and my site is nowhere to be found for that keyword phrase. I checked again today and its still gone. My site still has around 8k pages listed in google and I am still receiving traffic from other keyword phrases except this one. So what do you guys think about this? Have any of you experienced a problem like this before? I don't know if the domain expiring is the cause of the issue or if its something completely unrelated but I hope my site shows back up for my main keyword phrase soon.
Give some time and it should be back again because if Google did not found the site with the relevant content may push it back but give it time and it should be back.
Well I have been checking my ranking for this keyword phrase daily and as of today it just came back but not at number 12, its now at number 22. I guess its better than not being there at all. Its just gonna take a bit more work to get it into the top ten.
Just sit back and relax. As your working hard on your site its not unheard of for the ranking to fluctuate up and down a little. This can be due to loads of different factors. All you need to do is keep working hard on building a great site full of really good quality content. **Also, try not to freak out the moment it drops a little. Just chill and keep doing it right and the site should bounce back, otherwise you will give yourself a breakdowm
