My Site Back link Increased. But Keyword Position No Change. Why?

Last month my site had '5' back links from other sites. At that time my site was at '150' place on google for the keyword "ways for teens to make money". This month(10 days ago) my site back links increased from '5' to '28'. But my site position for the above keyword is same(position '150' on google). Those back link seems very good and keyword related. I think site should come to first page for the above keyword with new back links. But actual situation not that. Please help me to understand this situation.

Is In your back link anchor text and your searching targeted keyword are same ?

 

Mostly same. As example,
if my keyword is "ways for teens to make money" , then anchor text on back links are,

ways for teens to make money
make money online
ways to make money for teens
how to make money
earn money online
How teens make money online etc.

 

The ranking position is depend on back links as well as Anchor text also, this is possible if you have targeted the only keyword and use only 1 anchor text for all backlinks then your site will come up in search engines.. try it and let me know if you have any query regarding this....

You need to check the anchor text for which you got back links

 

Just because you got more backlinks wont automatically transfer to higher rankings. Do you have good quality content as determined by Google? Backlinks is just one factor in PR calculation. There are many others like domain age. You cannot buy a domain today, buy 100 backlinks from TeliAd and then expect to get into top 10. I had somebody who wanted that. I told itis impossible even for low competition long tail keywords.

 

yes Trraffic bug said right...back links can improve your PR. SERP depends on others factors too not only back links.

 

I think you may get rank soon. It will take some time for backlinks to update and effect SERP. At least you have to visit 2 weeks. One more thing is you should have contents to relevant backlinks. Otherwise you will not get better SERP.

 

I think you should weight for some time. If Google is showing more backlink then you will surely get benefit of these backlinks.

I just wonder if that's a SEO friendly url. It might affect your backlinks campaign.

28 links are nothing for google if their not high pr, my Blog has been up for 5 days and it has about 100 backlinks, im just waiting for a google update to get the ball rolling

 

You need more reliable and trusted backlinks such as from Wall Street Journal and Wikipedia. And surely you can overrun anyone and get #1 rank.

 

My suggestion is to add a blog in your site for regular updation of content.

This will help in boosting your site ranking since google loves new content and blog is the ideal way to add new content.

And keep on building backlinks for your site.

for getting ranking in keywords you need to have a backlink containing the same keyword in which you want to rank.
