$1 per click on average? That means you are getting 500 dollars for 500 clicks? Is it so? Then you should be having hell of a niche. I would like to know which.

 

how long has your website been running. Remember, Google will adjust the payout based on your site. So if your site is new to adsense, the first week or so it will pay out large amounts, esp. if there is traffic and a decent CTR. However, over the span of a few weeks the earnings per click will drop dramatically. For example, i started a site that had an awesome CTR and was paying around 80cto 90c per click (Highest was a 3.18 click, poor sucker). So at that point using adwords would have been an awsome idea. profit would have been nice if i limited the ppc to about 7 or 8 cents. As per the idea that you would get banned is easily avoided by putting a couple CJ or CB aff ads on there. However, over the time the EPC dropped that it would have made absolutly no sense.

So moral of the story is it all depends on your numbers and if the EPC steadied off or not
