    Yeah,

You need to log out of anything associated with Google (GMail, Webmaster Tools, Analytics and so-on) and you will find your true ranking.

Specifically, you're mixing up two completely different things: PR and SERP.

    - Page Rank indicates the reputation or credibility that your site has in front of Google. This belongs to the domain, and is independent of the used keywords.

    - Ranking is related to the search for a specific keyword. Your SERP corresponds to a specific search, and there might be others that might be better optimized than you for that particular keyword.

The fact that you hold a higher PR will only help you if the optimization for that particular search is more or less the same, but nothing more. I routinely beat PR5 sites for certain keywords with a PR1...

Example: Google itself holds one of the highest PR on the Internet. Buit when you search for "cars" Google itself does not pop up anywhere on the SERP...

    (P.D. Don't take the G's Webmaster's Tools as God's word, even if both start with a G...)

And BTW, in WHICH Google are you looking? I've been telling everybody that the results are not the same in the different Google "flavors"...

Don't consider about webmaster ranking. Just take a reference of keyword and search in google. This is best always. Some times webmaster tool not updated.

Might have have been the last algorithm change, but more likely it is because you messed up with the website redesign & code. Check what the changes were, as those might have caused dropping in the SERP (in the same way that site redesign might actually increase your SERP).

PM me the website & the keyword as well as a list of the changes you made, and I'll have a look to see whether I can detect anything.
