My dad sent me an article written about Historic Kane Street in Burlington, WI, home of NFL Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, Tony Romo.

My sister a Pediatric Nurse bought her first house on Kane and ended up being interviewed a while back. The story finally came out apparently..

From the December 1, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

For a small town, it is quite an amazing street... It's got all the old school Victorians, Cape Cod's, etc.. Some massive OLD homes... Hard to believe back in the day that street was mud and full of horses and covered wagons..

Congrats Sis!!! Now if she just would have married Romo.. ;)

BTW, the article spelled her name wrong.. It is spelled.. Dannielle... She's kinda particular about that.

    Enjoy!

Yeah, it is quite a nice neighborhood.. I was surprised at the deal she got on her house.. A few years back when we bought ours in Lake Geneva we ended up paying more than the seller was asking. The house she bought he paid about $20k less than the asking price. The husband had died, the wife was being moved to a home.. They lived there all their lives... The guy was a medal of honor winning WWII Vet.. Quite an interesting history. I re-wired the entire house for her. The wiring was that old cloth, no grounds, and they still had the old bake lite rotary dial olive green Bell telephones in the house... Amazing..

Sure sounds like your sister got a good deal and nursing is a good field to work in considering the shortage of nurses.
