Hi my friends, I've made a PageRank checker here: http://www.bossftp.com/pr.php It's so simple: only check the PageRank of a URL (domain and inner pages). You can use it to check for the PR of link exchange pages, domain names, etc... Hope this helpful. Plz tell me what you think :]
I liked it for the same reason everyone else like it. It was easy and quick! Google made it self on easy and quick!!
it looks nice ok, but it does not detect redirect PR ( does not look in to the cache ) so it is just as useless as the google toolbar PR is sorry
Example: http://www.mwwod.pl has fake PR5 Assuming that you do not have a google tool bar installed: in the google search box type: cache:mwwod.pl and hit search it will open last cached – snapshot of the web page to which the Page Rank in question belongs. As you can see in this case it belongs to: http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/mwwodarch.pl?Aug.30.2008 if both url's are 100% match then it is 99% real page rank. I say 99% because there are some people out there working on the fix as we speak No cached snapshot is a red flag because the page rank can not be confirmed therefore there is a good chance that it is redirect. The other way to quickly check if the website in question shows real page rank is this: type in the search box: info:anydomain-name.com and hit search if the first and only result is 100% match , then there is no redirect. Otherwise it would show the domain name from which the page rank is redirected. Again, if there is no result, the chances that the PR is fake rise like a muffin There are tools that use cache of the checked website ( among other facts) to determent if the page rank is fake but they do give false results from time to time. The simple “cache:†or “info:†are quick and straightforward commands I use before I go any deeper when checking for fake page rank. I hope this info, explained some of the questions. It has been known for years but from time to time same questions arise on this great forum.
