My Simple Freelancer Site

I just finished my homepage - http://www.agiorlando.com/

I made this so that people looking to get their sites, scripts or web-based applications developed can contact me and get quotes, etc. It's simple as of now, because I have no portfolio and I'm looking to build it. Once I have a bigger portfolio I'll probably expand the site a whole lot, but what do you guys think for now?

 

5 years experience and no portfolio...odd.

 

Like it..my eyes sore after looking at white/black page too long..lol

I don't like the 'Who am I?' bit. imo 'My name is Antonio Smith and I am a freelancer web designer from Claifornia, USA' reads better

live-cms_com, most of the work I did was in the past two years, the first three years was playing with the language and building my own sites, etc. I could manage to scrape up some things for a portfolio, but I'd rather have an up to date one.

 

I think the site is vrey clean , but you need to add some graphics too.

 

Too plain if your advertising design you need something catchy

 

I'm not really advertising design services, although I do dabble in that field a good amount.

 

thats true idk maybe do like a design similar to a square with rounded edges that all the information is in then have the background be a differnt color

 

looks good..also a clean site..but the single page content is not enough..add two,three pages like portfolio, any unique skills ( may be with demo)...

 

I don't know. The page looks dark and, well, gloomy to me. Perhaps you can try to liven it up. Add more content.

 

it is a wierd site. i dont know what you should change but i would consider a complete remoldle of the website

 

I'm pretty much a newbie at this, but I think you need much more information AND some testimonials about what work you've done in the past. Just my 2 cents.

 

i cant help but see the irony of a developer that has no sophisticated development on their webpage

 

some ajax wouldn't hurt along with some more elements

you could also incorporate a swirly light blue element on top, blue looks great w/ grey

Well its plain and simple but I was left expecting more. I don't know if its because most sites have headers now but it left me with the feeling that something didn't load.

 

Why the background is black......It' s not friendly to my eyes..ha..ha..

 

A single piece of advice would be, change those colours. I would make them more web 2.0 with soft blues, oranges and greens. You portfolio should be attractive and be very user friendly. I currently feel I need to close that portfolio quickly before my eyes burn.

Oh, I jump to conclusions

 

It seems way too simple at first, no portfolio, etc. I'd beef it up a bit for sure ; )
