My short URL site v. Twitter

Set this up mainly for myself to use on twitter. I haven't even used it yet and there are already people using it. Is this a sign they like it? Only a couple days old.

its very simple and quick, so this could become big, especially since it is targeted to one site in particular

 

I'm not sure how to promote it. I'm going to begin using it for my tweets but I don't it'll catch on just by that

I would promote it on twitter, add a bookmark this tab that ppl can drag into their toolbar and shorten any page they are on

I think the url field looks too short, try to fill it to the half of the content in it..

thanks again guys. Been busy with another project but I need to start promoting this heavily. It's getting good traffic but I don't think it's targeted since theren't many urls getting shortened

what script are you using? are you selling it?

 

Just curious, why did you decide to use numbers rather than a base**? Your urls will increase in length much faster with just numbers.

 

It's very nice and the theme is very similar to Twitter. Maybe you can put a sample value below your input fields just for noob users.
