MODS if this is in the wrong section , then please move it to the corect section Guys i am a customer for webthosting.com which is in netherlands for more than 2 months now.i do not understand an error that comes in my domain and its sub-domains : www.acidsite.in I get these kinds of error : Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution in /home3/acidsite/public_html/trailers/includes/functions.php on line 14 my friend told me that my server is not allowing curl library and fopen function..its true and i contacted my support team via 6 tickets.they keep saying we r looking into it , etc , but my sites r not functioning properly from 4 days.is it a big problem or what , because my host takes so much time to fix these errors.can anyone tell me what to do??
Hi, Installing curl library and fopen function doesnt take much time its a matter of 15-20mins of settings. Hope the hosting where u have taken are professionals . lolz, even newbie hosters also dont take 4 days . anyhow they might be facing some other problem also cant say . Yup, looks like CURL has some sort of misconfiguration, let your host know about this and tell them to recompile CURL with PHP, as SarkarRaj said it takes around 20 mins so they wont mind, CURL is an important function. If they don't do it, there is NO way you can do anything it has to be done via SSH.
If your host are not able to help you. We suggest you to make a backup and run to another offshore host with more experience.
