My revenue has been crippled that last couple of days.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed. I had a great day for clicks yesterday, about double, but my revenue was only 10% of normal. Are they starting the switch out of beta?

I have only had a few days of YPN and have already switched technology and business pages back to Adsense. I am still experimenting on some of my niches but all the buzz about YPN hasn't panned out for me. I assume it was because the first time YPN loads for a user they get the Vonage and mortgage ads which are irrelevant.

I'm only a few days into it. So far, like most people, I'm seeing CTR lower than Adsense but the CPC is 5x to 10x. I replaced Adsense with YPN on just a few low performing pages. I plan will replace Adsense with YPN on more pages.

Same here too. Had my best performing day yesterday with YPN high $xx.oo. Saw about the same traffic and CTR. Anyone have any speculation on how much the payouts will decline when YPN goes out of beta? I expect that my daily rev will decrease by around 30 - 50%.

Moving from Adsense to Yahoo gave me 35% increase now (no kidding!), but tha last few days I'm down to about 25-30%. Still worth keeping Yahoo! FYI - These sites are travel related.

I hope they will be still in beta when they allow UK residents, I'm hearing more and more good things about YPN.

My YPN Revenue has been going crazy all week. It started really low, got above average again, and then yesterday I had the lowest day I have had in about a month =/

My guess is that they are just making some adjustments, but I would like to see if there are anymore of you who have gotten "lower" payouts over the past few days.

I started YPN around Nov 10, for two weeks my earnings were 10 times higher than they were with AdSense........ then boom just like ' smart pricing ' with AdSense, the same thing started happening with my YPN earnings, I had a few days that did great, now for almost 2 weeks, my YPN EPC has dropped almost as low as it was with AdSense..... I still get the same amount of traffic and clicks, but the amount I am getting paid per click is dropping more all the time.

I guess this stuff never stays great LOL...... For the first two weeks, I thought man this ypn is incredible.... now it's getting crappy

This is incredible, YPN really is for me anyway, just like AdSense, now an average of 15 clicks with YPN, earns me under $5.00 -

Exact amount not disclosed so it doesn't violate TOS anymore then most of the other posts in this forum..... lol anyway...... it's getting sadder by the day.....

When I started out a month ago with YPN, 15 clicks would of earned me over $25 easily...... I suppose it will keep dropping right down to 3 cents a click etc, just like AdSense did ?

I tried switching from Adsense to YPN on a number of my best Adsense pages. The result: lower revenue. The reason: Relevancy of YPN ads really sucked, resulting in lower CTR, even though revenue-per-click was higher than Adsense.

However, there was one page in which the YPN ads were highly relevant and I was making about 400% more revenue than with Adsense (lower revenue per click) -- until about two days ago when I noticed my revenue from that page was way down. When I looked at the page, the ads were almost totally irrelevant. I had made no changes to the page. I complained to YPN, but no response yet.

Needless to say, I've switched all my pages back to Adsense. If YPN can't make their ads more relevant, CTRs are going to stay low, even though the per-click payout is higher --- which may be only temporary as Yahoo tries to lure people into their program.

    Update:

I just got the following response from YPN support:

"We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the relevancy of the ads being shown on your Web site. Please note that while we are still in the beta-testing phase of the Publisher Network product, we are trying different combinations of ads to show on our participants' pages.

Although the generic Run-of-Network(RON) ads being shown now may have a lower CTR than the more relevant ads previously shown, they tend to pay out at higher rates than other types of ads.

You may wish to also take advantage of our Ad Targeting feature, which will allow you to influence the types of ads shown on your Web site. To use Ad Targeting, please visit the Ad Targeting page from the Ad Setup tab in your account.
    "

Do they mean they think showing totally irrelevant, but higher paying ads makes any sense whatsoever? I have evidence that shows that it doesn't work.

And using their ad targeting feature is useless in my case, because the topic categories are much too broad for the very specific topics that my pages discuss.

I'm still making tons per click...

In fact I'm making more in a week with YPN than I ever made in an entire month with adsense :)

Mine was the same for two weeks, the EPC was incredible.... then it slowly started dropping, and continues every day, yesterday I made a total of just over $5 for the whole day..... lol sadder than AdSense was. If it continues or stays like this I am moving back to AdSense on the 1st of jan, because now YPN is earning me less than AdSense did :(

I just don't understand it, why my EPC drops more and more, yet my clicks and traffic slowly rises

It has dropped by about 30% a day I guess over the past 3 days, but this has happened before. I am already seeing a pretty dramatic improvement in the daily revenue once more. Ive talked with a few of my other webmaster friends, and they are also experiencing similar behavior.

I don't think that there is really anything to worry about. Have to remember that this is still in beta, so fluctuations are expected like this.

Are you sure it's just a fluctuation, etc, my EPC started falling around Nov 28, and has been slowly getting worse every day, today is Dec 13 and it's still dropping......

I wonder if they give good returns for the first x number of days, then they start smart pricing you or something similar. I see a lot of people talking about good returns at first, then dropping off as time goes by.

For the first month of YPN, my earnings were OUTRAGEOUS! The EPC was so unbelievable compared to Adsense. This was during October. However, by November 2, the CPM had fallen so far, it matched Adsense.

What's really funny, is my CTR seems to have improved, but the earnings have dropped.

Those 1, 2, 5 dollar clicks are now just a distant memory.

I don't know what you guys are doing wrong, because since late October when I started YPN up to this day I have made no less than 10x what I ever made in Adsense per click.

I have seen some small drops in $/click and even CTR since the end of November, but it has been rising back each day so I would assume it's normal "beginning of the month" fluctuations that you see in adsense as well.

The last 2 days have been some of my highest earning days. And I'm not talking about $5/day... im talking in the mid $xxx's
