I posted a thread about how my website disappeared from the rankings totally, even when searching for the URL. The only references were a google search which was 'site:www.cheatextreme.com' . I was very worried that i had been sandboxed or even worse banned. I had completely changed the website with a new design, structure, content and file names. So some reaction from Google was expected. 6 weeks later and I have now started to return back to my original or near to my original rankings. The Page Rank remains blank, but I expect this to return in time too. So if your going to change your whole website and then you find you disappear from the Google Rankings don't worry, you will return. Usually within 4-6 weeks. Just thought i would let you know in case anyone was considering making major changes.
Did you change the URL's of your subpages? If so did you 301 Redirect the old ones to the new ones? I've completely changed sites designs, CMS's, subpage URL's and even domain names and never experienced anything like you mentioned.
I didn't redirect, as before i was using html content and not a database behind it. It would have taken ages to 301 every page manually to the correct page. I changed content and everything, basically a new site.
Hmm, if you didn't redirect your old urls to the new (related) ones, you are definitely missing some link juice though and will take time and effort for you to recover completely your original rankings. Just my 2 cents
It can take those 4-6 weeks for Google to recrawl and reindex your site. Put the redirects in if i were you
Good job mate, I think you better start new link building with it to ensure you will get links from good neighbors.
