hi , maybe someone can help me , i've ranked well on google for one of my blogs for about a year , suddenly all my ranking just disapeared however all my pages are still indexed ... did anyone have a similar problem .. Im sort of in a state of panic , from 2000 visitors a day i dropped to 74 ... any help would be appreciated .
no everything stayed the same , i've just noticed this morning a sudden drop in traffic ... im totally depressed , hope its a temporary thing ... its weird , all my pages are indexed , they just disapeared from their rankings .
You could have had a few links removed off of key sites that were sending you that traffic. Or everyone in the world has seen your site and is tired of it ( High Doubtable Though)
It could be temporary. As much of a newb as I am in this "sandbox" thing it could be that. Here's my story...for the last few months I've been SEOing my site for this one keyword, and last month I saw some progress as my site was somewhere in the 50's...this month it dropped to barely being in the top 1000. And now today I found it at #6 on Google. So my advice to you would be to keep doing what you're doing...another explanation for your drop is your competitors are starting to get ahead of you...hope this helps.
it could be temporary or it could be that Google did some kind of update that devalued your SEO or links, You could have lost some strong links and that can cause a huge drop.
my traffic came all from search engines ... i just hope its temporary otherwise im cooked ...finally started to see some results until it all disapeared in one day .... what a bummer . Has anyone experienced this ?
Unfortunately, their are so many things that could affect your ranking any given day.. Thats why us SEO'Rs stay in business its always changing.
I agree with what everyone else said, it's probably pretty normal. I've seen websites that are indexed completely drop off the map. And then go all over the place. It seems like everytime I send my client a ranking report, their ranking is all over the place. Honestly for one client, and one keyword, one report a week. We went from Not in top 500, to 92, to not in top 500, to 347, to 136, to now last night we were 27. HTH, MR
maybe it's the google dance ... but rember you need to update your site regulary ... 1 time per week i think it's ok
