Here 'tis. 3 hours from "concept to realization" I'm planning on making a few more 'mini sites' like this, targeted at products and hobbies that I'm interested in, then plonking them in various directories around my domains. To change the target product and theme, all I need to do is change the rss links, css colours, and main header image. Any opinions on the design and usability? I know there's no content, but that's the whole point.
It's just a header, footer, sidebar, and the main page that has the RSS info for whatever item is being viewed. And a crap load of PHP to stick it all together.
Great work, looks excellent. Wish i was as creative, can you give me a copy? yeh im not gonna pay PM me if possible.
I love the top section with the contrasting red and logo with the headphones - below that though the design seems to break down. For 3 hours its good work but spend the time improving the quality of the entire page not just the header section.
Thanks guys. Yeah I did kinda run out of steam as I got down the page The problem with making the pages look good is that there's a lot of stuff coming in from rss, which I haven't had much experience with. I was happy enough to get the RSS stuff showing up at all.
It does look nice. I noticed that the dimensions of the header make the site's dimensions have a certain effect. It's kind of like a... 'phat vertical stretch.' Suddenly I had an idea about how to effectively utilize a bottom section of the layout. If in just the right place and shape a large footer sort of thing could make its content pop out at you in a pleasingly stated way. However. That banner ad at the bottom seems interesting at a glance
EXACTLY! It's SUPER in 3 hrs.. PM me if you want some job.. need 1 on a hosting website. Let me know..
