Content filters often blacklist certain keywords. Domains that contain the words porn, sex, proxy ..etc are often blocked by default. Choosing a URL that doesn't contain any of these common blacklisted keywords ensure you maximize your chance of not being blocked by default.
Thanks for the post, but I should have made myself clearer. I know they'll get banned but I dont care if they're banned or not as long as I keep getting traffic to my websites(because I'd rather the people clicked on the ads and went to another proxy than use my bandwidth ) ..So if having the keyword in the domain good for SEO and brings decent traffic, who cares if it gets banned. PS: Registered 10 domains with the word "proxy" in them and gonna set them up soon
You seem to have misunderstood my post. The point is if you pick a domain that contains a commonly blacklisted word such as proxy you will never receive traffic from certain users. You're limiting your number of potential users substantially before you have even set your script up! You say you don't care whether your proxy is banned because you just want people to click your ads. Users who are behind content filters that block the keyword proxy won't be able to visit your site at all. You won't get any impressions let alone any clicks from these users. - Matt P.S: Thanks for the rep
My proxy secret was to purchase an up and coming forum devoted to proxies and then market it to both proxy website owners and proxy users. The interaction was amazing. I self promoted my 20 proxy network all the way to $1400 a month and growing. I'm selling that forum now if you want to use it for the same purpose. It's much bigger now than it was when I bought it.
Nice piece of advice.I am too confused with the stuff that how do people make money with proxy sites .I think i will make a thread thats going to get going for you.
I'm just starting out with proxies. Thanks for the advice I've only made about $10 a week so far but I think the templates needs changing I do you have any preferred templates you use? Paul
