i am working with kontera almost 15 months or maybe more, the payment is good, they always pay in time, the ads are great, they not slowing the pages, the support is great, everything was just very great !! but ... NOW ..... but ... now !! 1- Today is 22th of May, and i am still waiting to receive march payment, i wrote them 3 times, and still waiting for response !! and still no response, 2- they have much techinal problems, latley they have problem with impression reports, some times i check my status and i see earning for today is 500 clicks and impressions 100000, after 4 hours i see big change .. 250 clicks and 50000 impression !! ok .. maybe they have problems in report !! and they working on it/ 3- their ads, starting to slow my pages !!!!!! i mean every page have kontera ads on it, its takes up to 3 minutes to show, and sometimes not at all, its not happenning all day, but at least manytimes a day. 4- their adlinks, problems with the color, its always orange, if i have orange background on my pages the adlinks will be orange, so i had to change all my site backgrounds to white, so people can see the orange adlinks, actualy there is option in the tagcode to change the color (but its not working). (contact them to ask for help !!, nobody is answering) 5- the Member backoffice, where you get reports and stuff, is very poor. 6- Support is getting very poor, and when you have a problem and if you want to report it, they answer you after 10 days !! if they answer !! Heyy .. well i dont hv answers to ur queries .. but i want to ask u certain things abt kontera . I want to put kontera adds on my site .. as an experienced guy do u advise me to do so ? Does it allow people from outside US ( I am frm India ) ? Can u give any idea abt CPC ? If it really slows down by 3 minutes ( I thinks this is tooo much ) is it worth puttin thr adds ?
seems they had much problems, and they upgraded their website, and seems that everything is working fine with Kontera now. i working with kontera for a long time, and after much expreinces with kontera and others, kontera is the best. revenue are good from textads (not great as adsense), adlinks revenue are great. they accept international publishers, but your website have to be in english, you can check their website, they have answers for your questions there.
They are a little left behind with march payments, but they sent the payments. At least i received mine. The tehnical problem about wrong impression count it doesn`t affect your earnings. I experience slow pages also, but it`s not boosting the load time up to 3 minutes .... and belive me , i`m in romania and have a "packet loss" internet connection This is because you use adlinks and textlinks. If you don`t receive any reply from them i can try help you resolve that. I got help from a kontera tech wich was very nice to me and we resolved the issue very fast. Yes, i agree, it`s poor, but i hope they will upgrade it soon I experienced very good earnings with them . They are a very good alternative and the adlinks are fitting perfect in forums or rich content websites.
my problem with kontera is that they dont give a generic code like adsense, you have to add each site manually
I think he means that you need to submit the URL and keywords (for approval) for each site on which you want to serve Kontera ads - as opposed to AdSense, where you can simply format your code, copy and paste, and the AdSensebot does the rest. Sam
From exprience with kontera .. very long one !! i have their ads on 4 sites. * Kontera adlinks are great (specialy the new adlinks), and this is the best thing about kontera. The revenue from adlinks is very good. * Textads, its poor and not always relvant, the ads used to slow the pages, but now seems they got over this problem. (but they still have this problem). (you need to approved by Yahoo Ads, so they can start showing yahoo ads in your pages, but through "ads by kontera", and they get thier cut, and pay a very very small piece), revenue from textads is very very very POOR. (90% of the time). * now the new thing that they doing .. is cutting your clicks and impression, anything from outside the USA is (they call it: bad clicks or click fraud or discount partial clicks or whatever they call it), in all cases you can never know what is your statstic, or where clicks from, or anything, they just mix the amount of adlinks and textads together and tell you this is your earning for today, and in next they cut it to half and tell you ... oopps .. that is discount partial clicks. (i check my statstic to see 80$ today, next day its went down to 40$, the same about clicks and impressions) * support is very poor, take weeks to answer your emails (and sometimes never), or if you have any technical problem, they answer you week after it with (everything is working fine now), and sometimes they anser emails very quick .. but they never do anything. * They always PAY, they never tell where are sending you a check, or how much is your monthly earning, but sometimes its takes very long ( months) to get your check. (happend to me 4 times). by the way (March Payment 2006) took very long time to all kontera publishers, but they always PAY, (but not on time). now if you ask me if i recommend about kontera !! i say their ads are good, both text ads and adlinks. revenue is not that great, and its feels sometimes that they cheating you with your earning. (thats why i consider to move on, and to close my account with them). Josh.

seems that everybody is complaining about Kontera ads !! just seaching google for kontera you will see lots of posts and complains about them. i always said to everybody Kontera is the best .. but now i say .. they are now SUX !! they pay you poor 0.0$$. adlinks is the good thing about kontera, textads are horrible, freezing and slowing the pages, and they niot always working, sometimes they dont load, and sometimes only blank ads with nothing on. they have so much problems .. i just got sick of writing the support. i want just to understand one thing !! if your site (lets say) get 1000 visitors every day, reports for your impressions (1500), so how comes if your site grow up and start getting 5000 visitors, but the clicks and impressions amount still the same (1500) ?? !! and the most important thing is PAYMENT !! the truth is they always pay .. but .. they always forget to pay !!, and you have to remind them with many emails. i havent recieved APRIL payment, but after many emails, seems i will get it on JULY or who knows. i am leaving them as soon as possible, i joined kontera because the quality of their ads, even if they pay less, because its important to me to see good ads in my site, but now seems they have no advertisers or no technicals or whatever. bad support , bad rates, bad ads, bad everything and hell yeah .. i am mad !!

I applied just now but I don't think I'll be accepted since I need 500K page views per month. On the slow payments, I don't know the facts of this case, but adsense is like clockwork, chitika has been random and I don't know about YPN, since they won't let me in even though most of my traffic is US. A couple of companies that I work for as an affiliate are really slow payers - it's just not professional. If I was rich I would give these non-professionals the flick and work for a select group of quality companies who want to keep a good rep. A good business matrix is: 1) Pays fair 2) Pays on expected dates - schedule doesn't matter 3) Doesn't have any sneaky clauses - like need to earn some amount of money that is unreasonable meaning that they are unlikely to ever pay out the bulk of their affiliates. This one really irks me and one day I will name names. Kontera in this case and to their credit is actively interested in resolving the concerns. Hat's off.
