Hey, Well I should start by telling you that I always used to freelance on DP. I used to buy things like ebooks and do small trades for different services etc... and I really enjoyed it, I liked making money and enjoying myself. One day I received some payments via Paypal which were seen as fraudulent (according to Paypal) and they were not! I quickly refunded all the money that I owed to these people and told Paypal that I hadn't done anything wrong. Paypal froze my account and asked for details like my passport, proof of residence etc... I provided all of this info and more but to no avail. They said that they would like to end business with me. I e-mailed them back and asked them why. They said that because I am under 18 that I'm not entitled to Paypal account. I asked them if I could unlimit the account when I am 18 and they said yes. Just to make sure of this I called up and asked them if when I am 18 I can unlimit my account, they said yes. Still not sure of whether to believe Paypal after posting my problem on Paypalsucks.com I called again and inquired into whether it could become unlimited, again they said yes. On the same day as calling them I e-mailed them and asked if I am entitled to the unlimiting of the account, they sent me an e-mail saying that they would like to end business with me (Althought the person sending the e-mail may not have been aware of the full situation or just didn't read the question properly). Jack yes once you reach the age of 18 years old you will be able to unlimit your PayPal account. _____________________________________________________________ This is a pretty big mess because I cannot earn cash through Paypal for about 2 years now...this is gonna suck. I should also mention that I own a forum with 5000 members and I have created hoodies and clothes which I am selling over the forum. If I had Paypal I would be able to accept these payments via Paypal and credit card, but now I'm forced to go with direct bank deposit OR find an alternative to paypal (such as ccnow.com) Basically I'm really stressed out about all of this because I really want to earn money via the net and I find it really enjoyable but I have been fully blocked from doing so, like a part of my life has been taken away. For all you people with Paypal and who can accept payments, just be happy for that and don't take it for granted...you don't know how necessary it is for online stuff. Anyways I would like to know your opinion of whether or not I will get my PP account back? Do you think that PP will come good in the end or will limit me for life? Feel a little better now that it's off my chest but it's just really bugging me.
If I ask my parents to sign up for the account won't Paypal thinks it's me because of the IP address? Also, can I add my bank account to my parents Paypal account? Also, does anyone know anything about Paypal tax? Like is Paypal hooked up with the Australian Tax Office? My mum said that if she has to declare tax then she won't do it...
Err... use your parents bank account. As for the IP address, no idea - I use my parent's Paypal account here and it works fine. No idea about tax.
Well according to ex Paypal employees Paypal does not verify your bank account name or details, so you can use any bank account you like. If I "just used my parents bank account" then they must declare tax on my earnings and I don't want this Any other help?
Why sign up when you're under 18 to begin with? Their terms clearly state that its not allowed :/ Anyways, hope it works out for you
What I do is just make a basic account and make money that way since you don't have to confirm with a credit card or bank number. When I want to get something I get it off eBay instead. The way I made a eBay account is I bought a prepaid Visa card.
I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. I suggest putting a payal account into the name of a very trusted friend or better yet a family member. If they are a good person they will allow you access to it and freedom to collect your money for free.
Paypal steal the money out of your account, and they take all your money and like go to the bar and drink and laugh about it, and scoff a lot. They're all mean and stuff. They like invented paypal so that they could like mess with innocent people because they're mean and gay.They just like to see people suffer for no reason. They like follow the customers home and video tape them through the window crying, because they're like such an evil corporation. One time I saw paypal come out of the ground and take the form of a black demon and eat a baby. They're so gay. They like to feed off the blood of the innocent. Screw this noise, I'm going to bidpay.
