One of my sites was at PR 0 and 1 for a year at least, and just recently last month I wrote a small blog post and linked to a Chinese site, miracle of miracles, the site PR is now 2! And I didnt do anything promotional at all except for this post. I wonder if the Chinese employees at Google have rigged the system so that if somebody links to Chinese sites or mentions the word Chinese, then their PR goes up?
actually pr based on how much quality and high pr site link with u so that chinese site having good pr and quality
lol @ Traffic-Bug If that were true: a) You would be able to sell your "secret" PR building service and retire in 6 months b) Everyone and their dog would be posting links to Chinese websites Gotta run, got some links to post now
Your site was due this new PR, the fact that the update occured soon after this post is purely coincidence
Did you also scratch your backside during the past month? Becase maybe the PR increases is related to that also? Or maybe, just maybe it could be due to more links coming into your site, or the PR of incoming links going up?
OP should realize that there is just no logic in what he feels and it is just a coincidence that the same has happened in his case. Also, your PR is enhanced by how your site is linked to other websites (the link flowing to your site from others) and not by how you have linked to other sites (the link flowing from your sites to others). Btw...I hope OP is not trying to promote Chinese websites! Regards, RightMan
It has nothing to do with your external link, in fact it decreases pr to link to another site, however you already have sites linking to you and it seems that those sites where bulding links all this time so they got PR and as a result your PR increased too
Don't think it has anything whatsoever to do with your PR increase. You got more backlinks, that's all.
Well, maybe it's just pure coincidence unless your blog post has so much quality which google viewed as important and assigned PR value to it.
For google it does not matter, weather it is a chinese, korean or indian or us or Uk based... it all depends on the quality of the site.
Would you mind sharing some tips here so we can implement it too? LOL, maybe it was just Google way of saying keep on going so you'll have more PR.
Courtesy pr boosts for those linking to chinese, mentioning chinese or enrolling in the chinese language courses... How are the Chinese sites themselves doing?
this month my blog also jumped from PR0 to PR2 but i didn't link to any chinese sites It just happened
