My PR was gone

I have a blog that has PR3 for quite sometime. Then few days ago, something went wrong with my blog that requires to do some minor fixing including upgrading the Wordpress.

After few hours of work, my blog is back to normal except for my PR.

The PR went down from 3 to UNRANKED.

I really don't know why my PR was gone.

Was it because I updated my Wordpress?

When you say it's gone is it greyed out? or showing PR 0 - greyed out suggests u did something naughty.

Have the wordpress url's changed? This can also cause issues for G if it suddenly finds loads of 404 errors when it crawls your site. Check webmaster tools for crawl errors (if you have it installed).

I'd also do a site: command in G to check if there is a drop in indexed web pages to the site

Last month PR updation was going on. So may be this reason your PR has drop. But don't worry do some good Link building activity, so that next month PR updation your PR will be high.

We have a PR2 site with numerous other pages that have ok PR. G. are constantly changing the PR at the mo. We had one page went from 0 to 2 in 1 week and wasn't even indexed! It has changed back to zero now, so it stayed PR2 for one week!

    Thanks everyone for the information

I have done a sizeable amount of link building for my blog.

Also, I did not change the content as well as the URL. All I did was I upgrade my wordpress.

Hopefully my PR will be back for the next PR updates
