My Post Count is wrong! [all complaints in this thread please]

All the post disappeared from profile...what could have caused it. I get pm for some crazy things should I report this and if so how? If you post a question in the wrong forum how can I delete it.

Hi. I was wondering about the post counts in my profile also. I remember that I was on the forum yesterday with about 200+ posts and when I logged back in today, I have about 164 posts. Is there a reason that my posts are being deleted? I'm just wondering. Thanks!

 

Seems to be a glitch in the forum with post counts.

 

Isn't the 'Posts' shown on the forum to everybody how many individual posts you've made, and the number of posts shown in the control panel is how many posts you've made in unique threads? That was always my understanding of it

 

There's a glitch.

Check out this profile. It's showing zero posts. Then check all posts made by the user.

 

this may not be a glitch
it can be due to a few reasons

1: the admins have reset his post count
2: the forums he is making his posts in can be set to NOT increase his actual post count
- I.E forum 1: he could make 500 posts and it doesnt budge
- - but if he posts in forum 2 500 times he gets 500 posts

3: admins/mods could deem his posts "non constructive" so wont increase his posts

 

I am a mod. It's a glitch.

 

i cant see it being a glitch because for vBulletin for do a glitch...it would have to effect every other account
it wont just pick on a few accounts

i dont have any problems and i doubt i will get any
if its not option 3 there are 2 others that i have mentioned
there could also be more than i have posted
but as i say i can't see it being a glitch just doesnt seem right for vB

It's probably been a very temporary and localised glitch affecting only a few users. Shawn will need to have a look.

 

I've noticed some posts to disappear from my post count as well.
Not that i really care much, but i do noticed it
