My positioning = Low xx.x% CTR

    Yo,

I have read so many stuff in this forums (especially that image over ads tips... that thing is the best) and decided to post my own adsense positioning. You can find it at www.petra-nemcova.info.

Basically, I only want to blend in the ads into the content (without expecting high CTR), so what I do is...

    1. Finding link/title color that is almost the same color as the background (my background in this case is white... so I find a color that is close to it... if I chose black.. the CTR would be differet).

    2. Putting ads in between content without making it look spammy. I know many of you know that... but in this case, I choose to use half-banner instead of the full 468x60 ad size since it looks more like a normal content to me (just one link title and description just below it).

    3. The common blend your ad BG color into your site's... I am sure all of you know this, that is the reason I don't put any border as I want the ad to blend it.

With these methods... I am able to achieve low xx.x%... I actually want to state the number, but since Google doesn't allow it, the figure will remain as x. Hope this will help you... I am not an expert on Adsense, but this sure helps me a lot. :)

There is nothing else to add. The only reason for them visiting is for her biography + pictures.

The website is down for me as well.
Your DNS servers are timed out, you should fix that ASAP, bots don't like that.

The wide AS banner doesn't show up, but seems to be integrated OK within the page.

However, I have just one tip for you. You are having 3 ad zones on your page, one with chitika and 2 with AS. That is a bit too much and you may lose some backlinks from people that might link to you, but they won't as they will find the website overloaded with ads.

I dealt with this problem in the past, and after I refaced all pages, I started to gain more backlinks, so traffic really increased, therefore more revenue.

If I worn your shoes, I would remove the last AdSense banner.

Good luck with your website! ;)

The thing is the site is only 17 days old (I bought it from someone here and optimize it all the way up). It is ranked #4 in google for Petra Nemcova and #1 in MSN. Traffic has been good for the past few days (going from 160+ unique/day to 600/day).

Also, I am getting a 3 digits clicks for the adsense ads from the site everyday out of 2000 impressions. That is why I thought this is a good idea and just proceed on sharing it here. xD
