    Hey all,

I've been hard at work on my portfolio and blog recently and decided to combine the two. Haven't added all my work to the portfolio yet but that's a working progress.

I use a free template at the moment, but it'll do for now. I will be designing my own soon, will have to get a pro to code it for me.

I write articles about the industry, design inspiration and tutorials (not many tutorials atm).

This is more of a review for the content rather than the looks itself!

Let me know what you think: http://www.callumchapman.com/

    Hey Callum,

I would move the amazon widget from your sidebar onto a page of it's own, call it Library or something. This will clean your sidebar up some, and let you organize it differently than everyone else and their widget.

With your AdSense it's good to make it look like a part of your site, but don't blend it into background images. You want people to click on them, bring some attention to them. Some people even add small thumbnails around their AdSense to say HAY LOOK OVER HERE.

Lastly with your titles, start with a short keyword-rich phrase on each page relevant to the page (ie: Logo, Print, Graphic Design, Illustration Services by Callum Chapman)

Granted, you're changing templates but bare this stuff in mind with your new one.

    G'luck!

    Hey, cheers for the feedback.

I'll change the colour of the ad tomorrow, i'll make it white or something!

The amazon shop is a good idea, I'll look into that and see what I can do.

About the short keyword rich phrase, they are all in the meta keywords and description on each individual page so I should be fine without that, but I'm going to experiment over the next month or two to see what works and what doesn't.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    No problem.

Your permalinks came out nice, I know how much of a pain that can be!
