My php.ini not working Please help

So here are the things. I want to make some rapidshare like site and I found the script and installed it etc. Now the only problem is this. My php is configured to have only 30 input time and you can upload almost nothing in that time. So I would like to change
Resource Limits max_execution_time 30
Resource Limits max_input_time 60
Resource Limits memory_limit 64M

to

Resource Limits max_execution_time 2500
Resource Limits max_input_time 2500
Resource Limits memory_limit 700M

or something like that.

I tried myself but I got 500 Internal server error. Please help.
I fixed it by deleting it.

 

I don't know where you're getting the Resource Limits from, but those php.ini values should look like these:

max_execution_time = 2500;
max_input_time = 2500;
memory_limit = 700M;

 

It's from cpanel.I just ripped the information. So I should just copy that to notepad and save it like php.ini??

 

NO, you can't just put that in the file by itself. There are many values in the file. Open up the php.ini file and find the values I've posted and modify them as I've shown.

That should do it.

 

There is only 1 problem. I'm on shared server and I don't have php.ini file.
But I can do it in .htaccess file if it's easier.
