Try insert in backside if you already put in front side.

If your pendrive hav a small light so it will shining otherwise your pendrive is not bad.

    Clean the contacts with alcohol.
    Try a different USB port.

    check virus,
the virus can contain multiple machines,
    or external drive,
making it unable to connect to.

Try insert to other PC, if still not accessible I'm afraid your pendrive is broken.

Like some others have said, try reinstalling your USB drivers. If that doesn't fix the problem, go into your pre-boot BIOS setup (usually F2, Delete, or something similar prior to Windows booting). Check to see if USB is enabled in BIOS (USB1.1/2.0 dual mode). If it is not enabled, go ahead and enable it. If it is already enabled, restart your computer normally.

If you have only been plugging the USB drive into the front ports, try plugging it in on one of the back ports. If your USB drive is recognized through a port at the rear of your computer, perhaps your front ports are not functioning (could possibly be a loose connector from the ports to your motherboard). If your USB drive is not recognized by any of your ports (front or rear), try going to the manufacturer's website and downloading the specific drivers for that drive (if any are available). Install them and restart your system. If the drive still doesn't work, I'm not really sure what the problem could be at this point.

Try contacting the manufacturer of the USB drive, perhaps they can help you resolve the problem.

If it does not show up, the USB or the USB port is probably damage. Plug into another computer and see if it is working properly.
