Why don't you just try it, see what gets rid of it. Run spybot, adaware, and windows defender. Ideally run them in safe mode. And google everest poker spyware/popups and see what other people are saying.

If you are looking for a free AntiVirus, you should try AVG Free Edition.

I recommend getting AVG Anti-Spyware, (which, as Psycho said about it's Anti-Virus counter-part, is free) and then running a nice deep scan on your entire computer. I would think a quick scan of the registry and the cookies would work, too. Ad-Aware is good, too.

Perhaps you should try kaspersky online scan

    Kaspersky Online free scanner

Though it won't help you getting rid of virus/spyware but it would mention them.

Also I do think spybot search & Destroy alone would do.

I formatted my hard drive few days ago and now I'm left with only 4.7 GB of songs out of 34 GB :(

Exactly! but I was too lazy to go to the market and buy some DVD-RWs to burn them :) I was just giving an example :) All my personal and important data is safe and I would never let it go :)

Every one has to agree with me on this that Formatting a Whole Hard drive is pain.

There is a really good free online scanner at housecall.trendmicro.com. It searches for malware which covers adware, spyware, viruses but it will also look for security vulnerabilities and tell you how to fix them.

    kaspersky is great.
Should also try zonealarm (the latest version is incompatible with kaspserky 7.0).
