My PC has got trojan horses that can't be removed. What do I do to get rid of them?

I've been having problems with numerous trojan horses gathering together on my comp. My AVG does a full scan successfully, but it does not delete or store the trojan horses after the scan is finished because the trojan horses are read only. They all end in dodgy sounding names and my other anti-malware tools like Speedy PC Pro no longer work because the trojans disabled access to them. I then went on another computer and saved a bunch of .exe files for other similar programs to a flash stick to see if these would work after I installed them that way, but they all froze midway into a scan.

I at first could not use Firefox or Internet Explorer on Google, as it just froze and I had to reboot, only to get a black screen or a notice saying the computer wasn't shut off properly. I could get on MSN and other websites, but it was very slow. Then I downloaded the Apple browser Safari and also Opera. They worked totally fine until Friday there, at which point I downloaded Google Chrome. Now they all keep on crashing and because the trojans files are inaccessible, will I need to do a reformat?

Try combofix...I've used it several times in the past and it seems to be one of the only things that actually works, works well, and does what it's suppose to do. Be sure to read the warnings and what have you before using it as if you don't know what your doing you could cause irreversible damage to the system. You can find it for download here...If your unable to use combofix you'll want to get your windows disc and see if you can boot into a recovery console and run chkdsk command....but try combofix first and post back

    OK. Will do.

I doubt it will work though. I'm sure I found ComboFix already on my computer as well.

    ^Sorry.

Had to do a reformat, as it wouldn't scan anything.

For future reference when you notice you may have a virus, always reboot in safe mode so your AV programs can actually run without fear of the virus interrupting. But in the end, reformatting is the way to go as you did.

Try to install antivirus on your PC but not AVG or Nortan. I always recommend to everyone that must install Avira or Avast Antivirus in your PC which is best for Trojan viruses.
