My PayPal Account locked; Have no idea why ...

 I set up a PayPak account a couple of months back but never used it. When I tried to access it a couple of weeks back, I got the following message:

"This account has been permanently locked with a $0.00 USD balance. All information associated with this account has been blocked from the PayPal system and cannot be registered with another account."

I did send a couple of emails to PayPal support but got no help.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

That's really strange. Have you tried calling them?

Just call them! I hadn't heard of account being limited due to inactivity but it's possible. You might also be able to easily sign up for a new account with different information. If you get the right person on the phone, even with the international call centers you can usually find someone that's helpful. Best of luck to you!

this is impossible, i didn't use one of my accounts for a while and login one time and it works.. they shouldn't close the account unless you close it yourself

Wow, I hear of these sorts of things happening. I have had my PayPal account since May 2003 and haven't had any issues yet, knock on wood...

Was all the information you used when you signed up accurate ? Was the account verified ? Did you undertake any sales in the last few weeks ?

Was your situation resolved? Similar to others who have posted here; my account was innactive for several years (since high school) and wasn't locked when I eventually got around to using it for business. Take care.

Thanks for the feedback. I will try calling them to see if it can be resolved. I never used the account. Perhaps when I was setting up the account, I did not verify the account or take the set up process to the end.
