    Hi there,

I have Premier PayPal account and I provide online services. My account got some restrictions.

Yesterday, we provided all the required information to PayPal successfully.

Today, they sent me me the following email.

Subject: Limited Account Access Appeal Denied

"We understand risk is inherent in doing business. However, as of right now,
we're not comfortable with the amount of risk your business is exposed to.

With that in mind, we have decided to end our business relationship while
    minimizing disruption to your business.

    -----------------------------------
    Disbursement Options
    -----------------------------------

Option 1. If you owe refunds to any of your buyers, you can use the money
in your PayPal account to refund them.

    To refund your buyers:
    1. Log in to your PayPal account
    2. Click "Contact Us" at the bottom of any page
    3. Click "Contact Customer Service"
    4. Under "Choose a Topic," select "Sending/Receiving Money"
    5. Under "Choose a Subtopic," select "Refund/Cancel a Payment"
    6. Click "Continue" and follow the instructions to refund payments

Option 2. Money in your PayPal account will be held for 180 days. After 180
days, we'll email you with information on how to receive your funds.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
    Sincerely,
    PayPal Account Review Department"

My Account is verified US based account.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Is there any way to get the account back?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Regards

ah! that's toooooo bad. why they limited your account ? is there any problem with the payments you received ? have you done/received any frequent chargebacks ?

have you spoke to Paypal via phone ?

Are you following their TOS ? (age, products, country, etc.)

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your prompt replies.

    1. I provide online services (web developement, content writing, seo etc)

    2. I never noticed any problem with the payments I received.

    3. I never received any chargeback.

    4. I don't sell any physical products.

    5. I still not spoke to them on phone after this email.

The only problem I see is that my account is shared between two persons and one person is located in the PayPal un-supported country.

Can it be the reason ?

    How to fix this problem.

I believe you know the main problem and that is that a Premier account is supposed to be used by 1 person only and cannot be shared and it cannot be accessed from a non-supported countries. Two issues which could get your account limited.

Was the account verified and if so, how was it done ?

When you sell your services, did you just have your customer 'Send Money' to you or you did use the Paypal Invoicing system or the likes ? Because the 'Send Money' option when used can be seen as an avenue for money laundering especially if the transaction is often and of substantial amounts. You would need to ensure that you document every single transaction which the most basic sales documentations, ie the Invoice or Receipt even for a service. Especially so if your customers that you deal with comes from non-supported countries, used non-supported method to verify or are unverified accounts or they are of suspicious nature.

I supposed your only real option is to wait out the 180 days and then withdraw your money from them. At the mean time, just look for another solution which can support your situation.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

    My PayPal is verified.

I have provided all the genuine documents as required by PayPal like SSN, Credit card, Drivings license, Home Phone Verification, Bank Statement, Utility Bills etc. Also spoke to them on phone 3-4 times in a three weeks time.

    What else is left ?

Most of my customers are from USA and other Paypal supported countries.

My customers send me money directly to my PayPal's email id and there is no Invoicing/Billing involved.

Are you in the USA and your IP is showing as from the USA?
bushib basically though there is nothing you can do except get new details and open up a new account.
You will have to wait 180 days like they said to get any money also, you are completely powerless sorry mate.

    Hi there,

    As I mentioned earlier.

The account in question is shared by two person one in USA (actual account holder) and one in Pakistan (Partner).

At the first limitations, the account holder provided all his details to PayPal and they removed the limitations. Now they banned the account and put the payment on hold for 180 days.

The only option left is to call PayPal and speak to them all about it in details.

    Thanks for any help.

You shouldn't worry about getting it unblocked now. It's already logged into their systems.

Call them and that might really help you a lot in resolving the issue. Also ensure that that either of you don't log into paypal from a non supported country.

I would get in touch with them...especially if your expecting this to be your primary payment method for business.

Get some confidence in the paypal structure otherwise you WILL mis payments

    And you don't want that

The problem is clearly defined. you shared the paypal account with your partner in pakistan (unsupported by Paypal). So it is very hard to unlimit your account.

I understand while partnering with someone he may want to see how much revenue we receive from our clients. What you can do is, instead of sharing paypal account you can share the email account you are using for paypal. So for every payment/receipt you will receive a email in your email account. so that your partner can also verify the same. you will be safe.
