Hello! I know many of you use paypal and perhaps some of you got intot he situation I am in long time ago. Here it is: I opened a new paypal account, got some small transactions and then I sold a big piece of content for more than 1000 euros. I tried to withdraw the money and before they're completed I got my account limited and the money reversed to paypal. As I think the system automaticaly puts a red flag as potential risk when a new account reaches a fast 1000euro/transaction and they ask for documents. I can provide by fax my national identity card and utility bill, but I don't know what I'm going to do for these: - provide invoice: the fact that I own the product I'm selling [ I can't own the articles anymore as I've already sold them and they're not some fizical product to be shipped. I sent them via email ] - proof of delivery. - proof of delivery/tracking shipping information and other stuff for the last 5 payments. What can I do? Send paypal an email and explain all these along with my photo ID and utility bill, or what else?
paypal is pretty retarded they pulled this crap on me on a regular basis. I had a chargeback rate of 4% they said that was too high, and that it has to be below 2% or they would can me... well they canned me and locked 2g up too! First time I was limited I called paypal, spoke to a supervisor, got it all squared away, since I too was selling digital products. Just call, wait on hold for 1-2hrs and talk to them, its the only way.
Hi, I got my account limited like you long ago. My suggestion is you provide some details (i.e screenshot of your email to your customer) and documents they asked you for verification. Upgrade your account if you still not pro or business. Then use humble and proper words to them. Explain your problems in detail to them. You are doing your business here and it's for long term period. You may want to be with them for a long time. And, for you future transaction, you may want to add other payment option such as Alertpay. Hope this works for you, you just need to take your time to explain to them or you might lose your money here. Good luck
Hi there, I ve seen an ebook here that spoke about these paypal problems...maybe its worth buying it.
I strongly suggest you to call them (phone call) and explain each and everything as that is the speedy way IMO in compare to contact them through email. DON.
As I can understand from your writing, the account is limited for want of identity documents as you tried to withdraw a large amount immediately on credit of the same in your account for the first time! You can fax them your identity documents such as a utility bill and/or CC statement. You may also call them personally to guarantee them of your genuineness. Regards, RightMan
@ solarpanelsdirect: you we're selling digital products. Have they asked you for proof of delivery and all that stuff when you got your account limited? Also, as an utlity bill can I have a bank statement for the last month for them? A bank statement I can get online from my home banking? Or they don't accept this kind of documents for proof of address? I'm registered on my parents home as I stay in another city with rent and I don't have any bills on my name.
Problem solved. Sent a photo id+bank statement and wrote about the fact I sell digital prodocuts. Everything is back in order.
