I'm almost at 8% CTR, I have read that Google does not like it if it goes too high, is that true and what is too high??

    This is what I have
Impressions Clicks Page CTR Pg ECPM Earnings
    1,149 | 87 |7.57% | $3.97 | $4.57

    Thanks

That was for today though, Overall the month of May was 2.14%, Does Google look at the month average?

Mainly getting this from a News Articles blog, not copied though.

    Thanks

Don't worry about it. If you had a CTR of +20% then this could raise attention, but even then if all clicks are valid and your page is following the TOS all will be just fine. Keep it up.

That's no such thing. As long as all the click is legal. My CTR is about 7% for more than a year and no any problem

just make sure clicks are legal and not a fraud or clickbomb.. but nothing to worry if you did not do anything illegal..

I'm not overly concerned, just curious because I've read in this forum where people get a high CTR, and Google tells them it is not in the best interest of the advertisers, and close their accounts.

    Nothing fishy here.

CTR doesn't matter to google as long as they are genuine clicks.

I have been playing around with templates for my various websites which are on niche markets (color contacts, laser surgery, veranda...)

I found out that your template can have a great impact on your CTR. For example, the same template as on my website Zyoptix lasik (laser surgery for eyes) allows me to have on my other website to get between 15% and 25% CTR.

I'll see what it does on zyoptix laser, as I changed colours and pictures on it compared to the other one. I'll keep you informed!

There is no official % as to above which your site will be flagged. But experts believe that CTR anywhere above 10% will raise suspicion. Also with just 1,149 impressions if you managed to get 8% CTR that might sound fishy.

My CTR is way above that and has been for years. Had no complaints so as long as you are following the TOS there should be no problems.

Well it happened one day and now I'm getting between 2% and 4% so that is the average.

    Thanks everyone for the replies
