My Own Web Directory Suggestion Welcome

Hi Friends,
Just before I created a Web Directory , Fully Manual Process, If you want to add your site just send an email , My Directory is atoztoplist.com
The Sub Category will be created, I am trying to achieve 100000 links with in next 100 days.

My Directory have some unique structure.

I placed number 1 to 25 site link in each inner page.

For Example,
A Web Hosting Link added here
Internet - Web Hosting Services
There I added few..


If you want to get your site in First 25 places this is the right time

My Directory consist only simple structure..

I will develop day by day so Add your site today.. (Submit Link = shows the way to add your site)

Hi, how to people search for sites in your directory?

 

I think your directory should be restructured. How to navigate the inner pages ?

 

You might want to start out with a directory script. The organization is a bit well, jumbled. Also, all the "link" sales links are a bit cluttered... Less is more. I'd concentrate on filling the directory with quality sites before thinking about selling a ton of adverts.

 

You need a real directory script that uses php/mysql. There is absolutely no way you are going to manually edit your category pages constantly. And submissions via email? Yea...that's not going to work. Imagine a couple hundred directory submissions a day via email, 90% of them spam or low-quality submissions, and 10% suitable for listing. Now imagine a thousand or so SPAMMY emails that are NOT directory submissions that pour in every day as well (yes, people will spam your directory email addresses). You need to use a script to handle submissions...with anti-spam features such as captcha, email confirmation, or user registration. Directories (especially free directories) require a ton or work to maintain properly. I give it two weeks before you abandon this project if you don't purchase a real directory script.

 

Good work there. I hope you'll be improving the directory content even more as time goes by.

 

From the very beginning, you are using Google Ad sense. I am not sure this is good or bad.

 

Try and use another script, or something, looks poor. And you have few categories~

 

As per my knowledge, url that start with http://www. helps spider to crawl your site better way(url becomes more seo friendly). I think you put 301 for homepage from http://www. to http://. Just read about and change it if you want.

One more thing, are you interested in reciprocal link building. I created a web directory i.e. www.byglist.com. Just reply if you want to do reciprocal with my web directory.

Better, though it seems as though you have way too many cat/subcats showing on the first page. Just looks like way too much info. Kinda cluttered. Much better though!

 

All of my sites were rejected. Another waste of time directory.

 

Did you look at the reason for the rejection, or at the very least review their guidelines? Just because a directory rejects your sites does not mean its a "waste of time". If this is happening a lot you may want to take a closer look at what you are submitting.

 

Yes, the sites are not spam directories or MFA sites, they are HQ commercial sites for businesses each turning over several million pounds a year and certain higher quality than some of the other rubbish accepted!

Furthermore they each had individual descriptions written and were submitted to relevant categories too without 15 word titles! I'm guessing this is another directory more interested in green toolbars than genuine quality judging by the "Listing by pagerank" tool on the right hand side.

Why so much of people want to increase page rank ??? that is their personal interest.. I like to show "Listing by pagerank" option so i did.
