My Own Keyword ranking #1 in Google!

If you search "keyword text link" in Google there are 23,500,000 matches. My Own Keyword is number 1!

Hmm that is strange. I see 23,500,000 matches. I searched it once and was #1 and then hit search again and it was in 2nd position. I searched as "keyword text links" (added an 's') and it comes up #1 with 25,100,000 matches

That has been removed. Must have been a typo. I decided to remove all keywords that werent owned by someone. Currently there are 49 links on the page leaving 51 available as there wont be over 100 total at any one time

There is a 'fault' in the script that will not allow you to submit more than one word. So if you need multiple words just use dashes and I will remove the dashes. That is if you want "real estate directory" as a keyword phrase type in "real-estate-directory" then I will remove the dashes to give you your phrase.

 

Searchs inf Google for me:
"keyword text link" -> My Own Keyword is number 2!
"keyword text links" -> My Own Keyword is number 1!

I am hoping for some good PR on the next update. I didnt mention that this site is less than 4 months old! That is a very fast climb in the rankings if I do say so myself. I have done a lot of work on getting inbound links on this site and will continue to do so.

I have noticed that there are quite a few sites similar to this where the webmaster has changed the original site. That is, they had a site with PR and then completely changed it to a different site. Im not sure how the PR will be affected in upcoming updates when that is done but this site was originally made as it is now.

Currently you can get your link here for only $2 which I think is very reasonable.

 

Keyword rankings are tricky. Like many other webmasters, I rank #1 on Google for my first and last name. The problem is, according to Wordtracker, that keyword (my name) receives only 6 daily searches on the entire internet. So it is essentially a worthless keyword, not worth my while to track.

I highly recommend using the Keyword Suggestion tool in Digital Point to determine which keywords are worth targeting. Take a look at http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/?keywords=keyword+text+link&country=us. You will find that Overture and Wordtracker actually record zero daily searches for your keyword phrase "keyword text link". So it is essentially a meaningless keyword.

Please understand, I don't bring this up in any way to diminish your joy over the ranking. Rather, I am trying to illustrate the need of targeting keyword phrases that receive a lot of daily searches.

I encourage all webmasters to use DP's Keyword Suggestion function diligently. It will help you to discover competitive keywords that are searched for often on the internet. Those are the ones to target, since those are the ones that will bring traffic.

Thanks for the advice and for giving your feedback on this. I do appreciate your taking the time to write your message and to research the stats. I think that you provided some valuable information for all of us.

I do have some comments:

Even though this website is just under 2 months old, There are over 23,000,000 other websites ranking below myownkeyword.com for this phrase. I think that is quite an accomplishment. I did not go into this targeting those keywords. I was actually searching that phrase trying to find similar websites to see what was out there and was VERY surprised to see My Own Keyword at the top of the listings.

I was also wondering how many sites this new rank as high for any keyword search at all. Maybe it is common but I doubt it. I think that it is an indication of how well this website will rank in the future and how well it will do when it comes to future PR updates.

Over the past two months I have obtained a LOT of inbound links, many from pages with PR values. Sure it will take a little while before Google recognizes these links but they are there.

Also, considering that it is only $2 for a regular link I honestly think that it is a great deal for anyone who needs a good backlink.

In conclusion I do not feel that this is meaningless

what kind of traffic do you get for that term? i checked the keyword tool here and it doesn't have any data for that term

 

I also seen you were second, as i show the results i got.

Results 1 - 10 of about 17,300,000 for keyword text link.

Still not bad results if some looks for that term.
