Hello everyone, my name is Luka and I have few things to say. Looking in global - introducing established membership on DP is great, in fact awesome! I think it helps with spammers, frauds, and many other things. But, looking from my perspective It doesn't help me at all. I do not have time to make quality posts here nor do I have the money to buy premium membership. It hurts my business. I love to help other members when I have time but usually that's just simple answering on some questions, or some problems that they have. Do not be fooled, I'm not here to beg for likes or something, I just want to share my opinion. At the moment I have many ideas for expanding my business and this established membership is kinda holding me back. I know that I have to invest my time and be dedicated to this forum and to this community but it's holding me back, and premium membership is too much for me at this time. I want to post some contests and some other stuff I can offer for people but I do not have the privileges. To sum it all up, established membership is great looking in global, but for me is a time and business killer. Please, share your advices, share your opinions! Luka Vidović
Probably not the best business model to rely on a third party site that you have no control over in order to run your business. If you just need to post design contests, you might want to do it on a site that does not have prerequisites to do so. For example you could post it on 99 Designs.
I can determine apon reading your comment that you are sincere. It is a legitimate concern that you have. All I can tell you is that it is what it is. At the risk of pointing out the obvious, the rules are what they are...they are not likely to change anytime soon. What I can tell you is that I personally have received up to 15 likes in one day. {Many} members have become established in less than a week. It really isn't that hard, give it a go and just make 2 or 3 posts per day, and you *will* become established in short order, good luck to you with this.
@digitalpoint: This is only kind of business that suits me at the moment. I prefer DP and DP is what I prefer and I do not want to change. But thank you for linking 99D. @Spoiltdiva: Thanks for your reply and I agree with you. Rules are what they are. 15 likes in one day? Could you suggest what kind of posts are most attractive? I guess I'll try to dedicate more time to DP. It's fair after all.
It's pretty easy to see what gets @Spoiltdiva likes: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/spoiltdiva.563144/likes I would suggest that if the business you intend to generate from this forum is worth the effort then it's worth investing the time to make those helpful posts or spending the money. If it's really not then you need to rethink your business plan because something doesn't seem right.
